I am a weaver but I can't help doing some rag work as well sometimes. I love colour and using all sorts of yarns. Texture usually plays quite a big part in my work and currently line is a significant feature too. 'Fabric Paper and Thread' is a side line. I have been using unwanted materials such as paper sample books and discarded fabric pieces to make necklaces along with added extras, usually threads. It is a recycling idea. People seem to like them! This year, for Derbyshire Open Arts, I will have tapestry pieces which have developed from an ongoing photo diary.
